WIN a VIP Meet and Greet at Newark Festival with Totally Locally Newark

The Newark Festival is back for its fifth year from 17th June until 19th June, bigger than ever, with a fantastic line-up of acts, including the Riverside Rocks tribute night, a star-studded 80's Night and a free family day. This year, Newark Festival has teamed up with Totally Locally Newark in a special 80's night competition, giving fans chance to not only win tickets to the festival, but a VIP Meet and Greet with this year's 80's stars Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Bananarama and Martin Fry.

Each week until the Festival weekend Totally Locally Newark will be giving away a pair of tickets for the 80's night on Saturday 18th June. To enter the competition, look out for the special posters displayed in participating store windows and go inside to register. Over 90 local independent businesses are taking part so there are plenty of opportunities to win.

To win the VIP Meet and Greet with the 80's stars, keep an eye out for the life size photo boards of Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Bananarama and Martin Fry, hidden around Newark's stores. If you find one, upload a selfie with the star to Totally Locally's Facebook page with #TotallyLocally and you will be entered into the competition. Details of how to enter are displayed on each photo board.

Totally Locally Newark is a group of over 150 independent businesses who collectively bring together choice and variety to people shopping, eating and spending time in Newark. Its belief is that independent businesses and shops are the bedrock our communities and when they thrive they create real jobs, cohesive towns and strong economies. There are Totally Locally towns all over the UK and the aim in Newark is to connect with customers at a personal level making a visit to the town a memorable experience for residents and visitors alike.

Jill Brown of Totally Locally Newark said "We are delighted to be working with the Newark Festival Team at Liz Hobbs Group and excited about being able to offer a chance to win free festival tickets via our network of Totally Locally Newark participating businesses. This is a great example of local businesses all working together for the good of Newark, its' residents and many visitors."

Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of Liz Hobbs Group said, "Totally Locally Newark is such a brilliant initiative, helping to raise awareness of independent businesses within the town and we are pleased that by offering Newark Festival tickets we can not only raise awareness of the event through local business partners but in turn offer an incentive for people to come into Newark and visit the stores. Keep your eyes peeled for the 80's photo boards and you could win the fantastic prize of a VIP Meet and Greet with our 80's stars! This is already generating a lot of interest in Nottinghamshire, which will hopefully bring visitors into the town."

Back for the fifth year running, the now well established three day festival at the

Riverside Park in view of Newark Castle, presents as its highlight a spectacular 80's Night, featuring Spandau Ballet's and 'I'm A Celebrity's' own Tony Hadley, ABC, Bananarama and Midge Ure (from Ultravox) on Saturday 18th June 2016.

Friday 17th June will see Riverside Rocks take over the park, and if you love the music of Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys then this night is for you when the UK's best tribute bands for these artists take to the stage.

Sunday 19th June sees the return of the ever growing Free Family Day at Riverside Park and across the town, with a day full of entertainment (including Horrible Histories and BBC Introducing), food and drink for all the family and the evening becoming a more musical 'Swing in the Park' concert, topped with a fabulous firework display.
